Our origins lie in Berenschot, de Baak and Twijnstra Gudde. With this as our professional base, we constantly look for the limits. We disrupt and awaken. Movement and direction arise. Clients say: “With you, we realise that it is going to be exciting, and we also know that it is going to be fine.”
As an organisational consultant, my ideal assignment is linked to the ideal client. I like to work with people with ambition and a progressive outlook.
In the past 25 years, I have increasingly taken on the role of the client’s conscience and I make the unspoken discussable in an open and bold manner. I use my intuition, my creativity and my ability to shape to actually realise ambitions.
At The Changing Company, important elements come together for me: shaping leadership & organisation development from playfulness and a keen eye for detail.
I was born in Groningen and grew up in that area. At home, I was given a lot of freedom to develop myself in an independent way. This still benefits me to this day as an entrepreneur.
By nature, I am out for adventure and I am interested in people. I like to make changes while, oddly enough, I do not find new situations easy. Yet, the adventure of change still attracts.
After 20 years in Amsterdam, our family moved to the green Heemstede. I get energy from our three happy children, the urban life of Haarlem and the outdoor life in the dunes and at the beach.
I am excited by guiding teams during change. Change creates tension, uncertainty and doubt – on all levels.
As an organisation developer, I’m the independent sparring partner for key players. I then direct (push and pull) at all levels to make the change work in practice.
In my current work, everything that I have developed myself in over the past 30 years comes together: business economy, team dynamics and change management.
I grew up in two worlds, a hockey field and a Waldorf school.
Having those two sides makes it easy for me to make social connections. I look for meaning where matter-of-factness has taken hold, and I bring level-headedness where spirituality becomes vague.
The same applies at home; together with my wife and four children, I look for balance in upbringing. We call that lovingly neglecting. If it gets too serious, I bring light-heartedness and I can be strict if necessary.
We live in a farmhouse surrounded by cows and with the contours of Amsterdam as our backdrop. Two worlds in one, again.
Every change assignment is different and requires other professionals. Based on the client’s ambition and needs, our network partners enter the frame.
What the network partners have in common is working with head and heart. All are true professionals with dedication. They have individuality and specialisations, such as:
– Internal advisor
– Spiritual leadership
– Diversity in teams
– Vitality
– Voice and presentation
– Dilemma Reconciliation
Over the last twenty years, The Changing Company has built up an extensive network of highly experienced consultants, coaches and leaders from Berenschot, de Baak, School of Coaching and Twijnstra Gudde.
